Based in North Wales, What Katie Writes was formed in 2015 and began as a one-girl show, featuring - you guessed it - our writer, Katie. Since then, we've gone from strength to strength, and it was soon a choice between turning down much-valued clients and expanding to more than one person. The decision was an easy one and so Max joined, and the journey got even more exciting!

Katie Howe copywriter & social media manager Hello! I'm Katie and this is me... Before embarking on the exciting career of a freelance writer, I worked as a P.A. As well as a certain knack for making coffee, the position required top communication skills, and juggling meetings, flight timetables, and expense reports certainly prepared me for the pressures of writing! When I'm not copywriting or proofreading, I can usually be found reading, nerding out with a board game, or taking a long walk in the Welsh mountains. I may also be partial to the odd Netflix marathon! |
Max Marcham technical writer & sales copywriter Hi, I'm Max! It's great to meet you! Prior to becoming a technical writer, I worked internationally as a test and installation engineer, where I put my PhD in Physics to good use. Whilst I deal with a range of clients, you can be sure that if you're in a science- or tech-related industry, I'm your man. A bit of an all-rounder, I don't rock out in the science world all the time. I'm a big history buff, so you'll often find me reading up on days gone by. Mostly though, I like to spend my time doing anything sporty, whether that be running, cycling, or hitting the weights. |
